A Swiss brass striking and repeating carriage clock with date and sweep centre seconds, mid 19th century
With foliate cast case and handle modelled with flowerheads, the white enamel Roman dial signed DIMIER/à Genève, blued steel moon hands and sweep seconds hand, with subsidiary date ring below, the eight day twin barrel movement with elaborate matted and 'jewelled' platform to bimetallic lever balance with blued steel 'bats' wings', with strike work and bell positioned on the back plate -- 6¾in. (17.2cm.) high to fold of handle
