The case with pineapple finials, inset reeded columns to the front and cast brass sound frets to the sides, on brass-capped wood feet, with shell and foliate spandrels to the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre, with subsidiary rings above for chime/silent, slow/fast and Eight bells/Westminster chimes, the substantial eight day triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, hour strike on gong and quarter chimes on eight bells, the back plate with pendulum holdfast and numbered 762 -- 27in. (69cm.) high
