A.W.N. Pugin discusses the mounting of antlers for the Cromwell Hall and Lower Corridor in correspondence retained in the Myddelton family papers. These are clearly visible in The Hon. Mrs Mary Wombwell and Sarah Myddelton's watercolours of 1862 (see opposite). The following four lots are later additions to Pugin's decorative tradition.
