Property from the Estate of Sonja de Zorrilla
Christie's is pleased to offer Sonja de Zorrilla's collection of Post-War Art. She was a socialite whose residences in Manhattan, London, Paris and in her native Iceland were glamorous gathering places for her friends including Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and John Loeb. Her love of art led her to acquire works from prestigious galleries of New York and London, as well as to pursue portraiture. The proceeds of the sale will benefit her foundation for needy children in Iceland and the United States.
Additional lots from this Estate: 18, 28, 39-40, 50, 52, 61, 68, 103-104, 106-112, 150, 164, and 187.
