A lady's elaborate headdress of minature hat form, the wire-work structure covered with gauze and ornately applied with sequins, beads and metal threads in a design of all over foliate motifs, the wire framed brim covered with black net and applied with pleated black silk gauze ribbon, also applied with fabric flowers and machine lace to the reverse, second half of the 19th century; a lady's lace day cap, applied with bands of pink silk ribbon, and further striped silk gauze ribbon applied around the neck-line, tied under the chin, the interior lined with black net, circa 1840; and a lady's black satin bonnet, of satin covered hoop structure, plain crown and inner brim, the outer black machine lace, tied under the chin with brown silk ribbon, with similar ribbon trim and fringed satin neck aperture,circa 1840, (a lot) (3)
