After the Antique, the naked figure with raised right arm and leaning against a tree trunk, lacking arms, restored break to legs and the tree trunk

Lot Essay

It is not known when the Antique original of this sculpture was found, but it is recorded in the Medici collection in Florence in 1665, although it is believed to have been transferred from the Medici Villa in Rome at an earlier point.
