LATE 19TH CENTURY, SPURIOUS BLUE SHIELD MARK, PRINTED NUMERALS, EACH TITLED IN BLACK SCRIPT
The first painted with a classically draped maiden with two putti attendants before a column support and urn suspending pink roses, signed in gilt script Rosler, within a dark-blue border gilt with flowerhead, diamond and scroll patterns, titled to the reverse, Der Geruch, within a giltwood shell and acanthus moulded frame; the second example painted with a seated lady wearing contemporary dress and carrying a straw hat, before a lake and two swans, within a similar border and giltwood frame, titled to the reverse, Moyenzeit, Liebestraum/Was ist so süss wie du
