THE MEISSEN CIRCA 1850, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, INCISED NUMERALS, THE DECORATION PERHAPS EXECUTED OUTSIDE THE FACTORY, THE RENMAINDER LATE 19TH AND 20TH CENTURIES, VARIOUS MARKS
The first modelled with the shepherdess seated on a marbled plinth before a gallant offering a floral garland, two recumbent sheep at her feet before a ruin section, the rival standing behind a scroll section; a Paris group of a gallant and companion modelled as a hunter and companion, in amorous embrace, a hound at this feet, a fallen pitcher at hers on a rectangular base, probably an element from a clock case; a Paris conversation group modelled as two ladies and two gentlemen playing cards, seated on high backed chairs; a Samson sedan figure-group modelled as a gallant and companion, seated in a sedan chair moulded with rococo scrolls, surmounted by a figure of Cupid; the final group modelled as a gentleman and companion after a Derby original
