A large Berlin (KPM) rectangular plaque, Othello appealing to the Doge
Impressed monogram and sceptre mark and cyphers W and O, incised 590"-470", Vienna decorated, signed P. Stadler and with partially effaced blue beehive mark, Late 19th Century
Finely painted after Carl Becker, depicting Othello pleading before the Doge and Brabantio, Desdemona at his side, members of the Senate looking on, within a giltwood and gesso frame
The plaque: 23¼ x 18½ in. (59 x 47 cm.)
