The case possibly late 18th Century and reveneered, the dial with engraved brass plate and silvered and arcaded chapter ring signed Johs. Uswald AMSTEL DAM, matted and engraved centre with fan-shaped day of week indication, subsidiary seconds ring centred by date aperture, the arch above with painted rolling moon, the earlier movement with four ringed pillars, anchor escapement and countwheel strike on bell, trip repeat, with later seatboard; case, dial and movement associated
