Provenance
The sitter was the daughter of the 2nd Earl Ferrers, she married Theophilus , 9th Earl of Huntingdon and her daughter Elizabeth married Sir John Rawdon, 1st Earl Moira. She devoted herself to Methodism and is credited with building sixty four chapels and founding a Calvinistic branch of the religion known as 'the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion'.
