A Chinese three fold screen
in ink and colours on silk variously depicting birds of the late Summer and early Autumn with herons, pheasants and an eagle beneath maple, dianthus and cherry blossom amongst peonies, trailing ivy and further flowers, a variety of birds including swallows and sparrows in flight above -- each panel 51¼in. x 27½in. (130.2cm x 69.8cm), dating to the hinotu-u year of the Keio reign of the Komei Period, (1867), (minor soiling).
