Lot Essay

This photographic equipment was almost certainly purchased by the 'Flying Duchess', Mary, 11th Duchess of Bedford. A keen amateur photographer, some of her pictures are on display in the Flying Duchess' room at Woburn, including several taken on her yacht the Saphire.
