A Rare Silver and Gold Damascened Iron Ritual Container
Tibet, circa 16th Century
Consisting of three round compartments, each decorated around the sides with skulls damascened in silver and copper in the four cardinal directions, all interspersed with scrolling flames in gold with incised outlines and between gold borders, the domed cover with incised lotus petals and half-vajra finial
