Shackleton ... with an introduction by Hugh Robert Mill ... an account of the first journey to the Magnetic South Pole by Professor T.W. Edgeworth David. London: Ballantyne & Co. Limited for William Heinemann, 1909. 2 volumes, 4° (243 x 180mm). Half-titles. Titles in brown and black. Plates (12 coloured after George Marston), one folding panorama and 3 folding lithographic maps printed in three colours in pocket at back of vol. II, illustrations. (Occasional light spotting.) Original blue cloth, blocked in silver on upper covers and gilt on spines, dust-jackets (Rosove's no.1 with no mention of price on the spines), t.e.g. Provenance: Harry W. Cohen (inscriptions dated 30 Januray 1910).
