A 19th-century lacquered and oxidised brass water flow meter, signed on the frame No. 132 Secretan à Paris, the four-bladed impeller with axis driving a geared mechanism, one gear calibrated 0-100, the second 0-1000, the pillar mount with ratchet and pull operated by cranked arm pull-wire and cord, fitted with four vanes 16 7/8in. (42.9cm.) long; and another water flow meter, possibly by the same maker, with single vane, the two-bladed impeller on tapering axis driving the gear recording mechanism - 17½in. (44.5cm.) long (2)
