Edo period (19th century)
Contained within a rectangular carrying case lacquered black with a hinged copper 'roof' with utensils for a tea outing including a copper heater and kettle and a covered lacquer box for tea, the lower section of the carrying case with a drawer containing a three-tier stacking box and two additional boxes, all lacquered brown with black lacquer interiors; copper hardware and brackets for a carrying pole
