AN IMPORTANT ART DECO RUBY AND DIAMOND RING
Centering upon an octagonal-cut ruby, weighing approximately 5.17 carats, within a calibré-cut diamond surround, flanked on either side by modified shield-shaped diamonds, mounted in platinum, circa 1935
With report CS 34480-1 dated 6 December 2000 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that it is the opinion of the Laboratory, based on the weight of evidence, that the origin of this material would be classified as Burma (Myanmar). Heat Enhancement: None
With reports 11432592 and 11432597 dated 6 February 2001 from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the diamonds are D color, VS1 clarity
