Serge Lifar as Zephyr in Zephyr and Flora, 1924

Serge Lifar (1905-1986) was a leading dancer in Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. In 1929, he became director of the Paris Opèra Ballet and there created more than 50 works with mythological and historical themes.
