This large dish comes from a service the largest part of which remains in the Topkapi Palace, Istanbul (R. Krahl & J. Ayers: Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum, Istanbul, London, 1986, vol. III, no. 3340, pp.1291-4, esp.p.1294). This is the largest size of dish made for the service. 13 examples still remain in Istanbul; two others are in the Musée Guimet, Paris, and in the Musée d'Art et Histoire, Brussels
