A George III hot water jug
of baluster form, on a rim foot and with a fluted spout with foliate terminal, gadrooned domed hinged cover decorated with spiral fluting and with stylised pine cone finial, and wicker-covered scroll handle, the part spiral-fluted body chased with foliate swags and engraved with a basket of flowers within a circular cartouche with bow above and tied foliage beneath, one side engraved with a monogram, Parker & Wakelin, London 1771 - 9¾in. (24.75cm.), 18.50oz. gross.
