of compressed pear shape, chased and embossed with rococo flowers, foliage and strapwork and with a flute and bead rim and two C-scroll cartouches, one with presentation inscription, the fixed handle terminating in two caryatids, the domed hinged cover with flower finial, the chased spout with bird's head terminal, on a beaded, pierced and chased circular stand with mask and scroll feet, with a burner, maker' initails J.S., Dublin 1874 - 18in. (45.75cm.) overall, 71.50oz.
