"The excellent 1996 Moon Mountain Cabernet (4,815 cases of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot) was aged in 75 new French oak. Much of the fruit comes from the famed Martini vineyard called Monte Rosso. Dark ruby/purple-colored, with intense aromas of blackberries, minerals, and currants, this elegant, soft, powerful wine is delicious, and promises to evolve nicely for 12-15 years."
