with moulded swan-neck pediment terminating in carved flowerheads, above foliate-carved cornice centred by a grotesque lion mask, the fluted pilasters with foliate capitals, the trunk with further fluted pilasters and arched panelled door, on panelled plinth with bracket feet, the square brass dial with silvered chapter ring and foliate cherub spandrels, subsidiary seconds ring and calendar aperture (lacking) to the matted centre, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 92in.(234cm.) high
