A George III ebonised striking bracket clock
with later gilt-brass mounts, handle to bell top and pineapple finials, cherub spandrels to the top of front door and caryatids trailing foliage to the sides, the arched silvered dial with date aperture to the centre with incised ho-ho bird, foliate-incised spandrels, signed James Watts London in the arch above Slow/Fast calibration, with glazed sound-frets to the sides, on moulded rectangular base and claw feet, the twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement, pull quarter repeat and strike on bell to the top -- 18in(46cm.) high
