the arched case with urn surmount and budding finials, floral panels to the sides, panel of two cherubs below the white enamel dial with (rubbed) gilt Roman chapters and moon hands, columns to the front, on rising shaped base centred by screaming wolf mask hung with swags, on scroll feet, the twin going barrel movement striking on a bell, French, last quarter 19th century -- 13¼in.(33.5cm.) high
