A ROMAN SILVER FIGURE OF AN EAGLE
2ND-4TH CENTURY A.D.
The alert eagle stands with talons gripping a triangular ledge, with finely chased feathers and well-modelled face; and a Greek silver figure of a weasel or ferret, standing with tail curling upwards, head and neck extended and turned to the left, on integral base, 4th-3rd Century B.C.
