A ROMAN BRONZE PANTHER HEAD FINIAL
2ND-3RD CENTURY A.D.
With snarling mouth and ears flattened back, hatched ruff around neck, pierced for attachment, with remains of knob at top of head, 2 in. (5 cm.) high; a Roman bronze bull's head protome with short horns, with fillet across the forehead and incised elaborately curled locks, incised details, 3rd Century A.D., 2 in. (5.1 cm.) high; and a Greek bronze ram's head finial, with large curling horns, the fleece indicated with punched circular decoration, 4th Century B.C., Magna Graecia, 1¾ in. (4.5 cm.) long (3)
