A GREEK GEOMETRIC BRONZE BIRD PENDANT
SECOND HALF OF 8TH/EARLY 7TH CENTURY B.C.
With long upturned beak, the large arched tail with faint traces of dotted circle ornament, suspension loop on its back; and a Greek bronze figure of a duck with duckling, the crested duck with flattened base on flaring legs, a duckling surmounts the suspension loop on its back, with incised circles and linear decoration, restored leg, circa 750-700 B.C.
