an exceptional wooden dolls' house of six bays and two stories, the central four bays in an avant corps, painted to simulate brick and stone with transferred pointing, the roof representing slates with four chimney stacks, each section opening to reveal eight rooms with chimney breasts, fireplaces, a blue painted kitchen with 'tiled' floor, range, sink and warming plate, embroidered carpets, some original papers and opening front door, furnishings including elaborate coloured soft metal armchairs, circular tripod table and towel horse, a Westacre bed and book rack, Waltershausen pieces including a bureau, bookcases, dressing table, cupboard and upright piano, dolls including china head with jointed wood body (arm missing), all-bisque French doll, bisque moulded hair man and several bisque and china headed dolls, and a soft metal longcase clock --41½in. (105cm.) long, 26in. (66cm.) high and 12in. (30cm.) deep
