Lot Essay

The Uplands of Iona was commissioned by the present owner's step-grandfather, Colonel Craufurd Dunlop, who was working with Lord MacCleod of Fiunary, restoring the Abbey on Iona. The scene represents a favourite spot for Colonel Dunlop when he was courting his future wife.
