A prattware bull-baiting group and another group similar
THE FIRST CIRCA 1800-15, THE SECOND LATER
The first typically modelled with the bull rearing downwards to a spotted dog attacking at its feet, the bull enriched in ochre and brown-brown, on a grassy rocky shaped oval base (tail cracked through, minor chipping to base); the second group similarly modelled with the chained bull being attacked by two Staffordshire bull-terriers, one falling from the bull's back, a man standing raising his hands and holding an implement in his right hand, on a rectangular plinth base with scroll rim, titled BULL BEATING and NOW CAPTAIN/LAD (minor chipping, damages and repairs)
