BOTH EARLY 19TH CENTURY, THE FIRST TITLED TO THE BASE IN IRON-RED
The first with a canted rectangular letter-holder between vases with liners modelled as quivers filled with arrows, on a rectangular base, the holder painted with a view of 'Barnard Castle, Durham' in a cartouche moulded with fruiting vines on a butterscotch ground (minor damages); the second modelled as a bridge, painted with figures in landscape and flowers in arched panels (minor wear and staining)
