Affandi's personality and above all his charisma are as much a signature style as his Characteristic swirling and deft brush strokes. For a people's artist, it is most appropriate to depict the subject of the common man, at the end of a day's hard work, gathering for a drink of Tuak, a local rice wine for the Indonesian people.
