Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch set with 30 diamonds, approx. 0.35 carats and platinum bracelet in 1963 and its subsequent sale on 7 May 1963.

This example is one of only two references 3497 known to have appeared in public. The unusual shape of its case is in the style of Gilbert Albert's famous asymmetrical watches created for Patek Philippe's "Ricochet" collection in the 1960s. Interestingly, most of Gilbert Albert's creations for Patek Philippe were fitted with the ultra-slim caliber 99 P which can also be found in the present watch.
