French. An 18K pink gold openface quarter repeating keywound watch with date and up and down indicator
Unsigned, cuvette inscribed Rep.ée par Breguet, No. 1080, circa 1800
With gilt-finished cylinder movement, plain three arm brass balance with parachute on the top pivot, blued steel flat balance spring, rack regulator, quarter repeating on one hammer onto a gong, gold cuvette, the engine-turned two-tone silvered dial with Roman numerals on blank chapter ring, blued steel spade hands, fan-shaped aperture for up and down indicator, two subsidiary dials indicating date and constant seconds, in circular case with ribbed band, engine-turned back, repeating activated by a pull-twist push-piece in the pendant, unsigned, case stamped with casemaker's initials JF and Paris goldmarks for 1798-1809
