Lot Essay

See note to the previous lot. The present plate is likely from the E.J. Sidebotham Collection, although the collector's paper label appears only on the previous example. It is also likely that these two plates and the two from the collection of Geoffrey Freeman, previously in that of Colonel Frank Falkenor, were from the same service.
