With shaped rectangular crossbanded top with gilt-toooled leather inset writing surface within ormolu banding and fitted at the angles with foliate clasps, above three short frieze drawers veneered à quatre faces and fitted with foliate pulls, the sides similarly panelled, the reverse with three sham drawers, on cabriole legs headed by pierced foliate-cast chutes continuing to similarly-cast sabots, with spurious stamp DUBOIS
