Based on a Staffordshire saltglaze prototype, the interior painted in the famille rose palette with fantasy birds in a landscape, the rim with flower sprays, the exterior moulded as a basket and around the trellis-pierced panels with berries and pears enriched in the same palette, the upright scroll handles enriched in purple
