BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, 19TH CENTURY
Moulded in high relief and painted in colours with New Testament scenes depicting Christ as a young boy walking with his parents, the Madonna with Christ and Saint John as young boys, Peter slicing off the ear of Caiaphus' servant Malchus in the Garden of Gethsemane, and The Deposition, each within an integral rocaille-moulded frame with shells and scrolls at each corner, the top headed with a similar cartouche enclosing a gilt sunburst burnished and chased with a Masonic 'eye'
