Sugata [configuration]: honzukuri, iori-mune, chu-kissaki, toriizori

Kitae [forging pattern]: hadatachi [prominent] itame with mokume and jinie

Hamon [tempering pattern]: suguha, kogunome, ashi in konie, nijuba on monouchi

Boshi [tip]: o-maru

Nakago [tang]: o-suriage

Habaki [collar]: double, copper-gilt

In shirasaya [plain wood scabbard]: with attribution to Senjuin School

Koshirae [set of mounts] comprising: black diagonal ribbed lacquer saya, matching shakudo mounts comprising fuchi-kashira, koikuchi, kurikata, kojiri depicting in iroe-takazogan Yoshino-gawa and Tatsuta-gawa with maple leaves and cherry blossom by a stream, fuchi signed Masanori (kao), tsuba broad oval, shibuichi, depicting a cherry blossom tree in gilt takazogan, signed in sealed form Mitsumasa, 19th Century, 99cm.

Sori [curvature]: 1.7cm.
