CAST XUANDE FOUR-CHARACTER MARK, 18TH CENTURY
The square body, flaring base and waisted neck unusually cast in Sino-Tibetan style in medium relief with pendent loops of beads suspended from ruyi motifs and inset with red and green glass half-cuts, lotus meander and incised around the rim and base with key-pattern, the 'C'-scroll handles issuing from dragon-masks, the base cast with a dragon confronting the mark as if a pearl above a two-character mark within a rectangle, some half-cuts missing
