QIANLONG (1736-95)
Of slightly tapering rectangular shape, one end tapering to an edge, the other carved in medium relief with a pair of confronted archaistic phoenixes, each side incised with a band of taotie masks reserved on a leiwen ground, the jade of variegated pale celadon to dark brown tone and with patches of cream on the dragons
