A FAMILLE ROSE CYLINDRICAL VASE
QIANLONG (1736-95)
Enamelled on the tapering sides and the waisted neck with large peony and chrysanthemum blossoms borne on trailing leafy stems, the shoulders and upper mouth-rim with pink-ground ruyi lappets enclosing further blossoms, all reserved on a pale-blue ground enriched with delicate white scrolls, a dentilated band around the base and a band of additional flowerheads and panels of scholar's objects below the neck
