THREE FAMILLE ROSE BLACK-GROUND OVIFORM JARS AND DOMED COVERS
QIANLONG (1736-95)
Two almost a pair, each enamelled with pairs of cockerels perched beneath tree peonies within shaped oval panels, interspersed with smaller fan-shaped panels of song birds in blossoming branches, reserved on black grounds enriched with flowering chrysanthemums borne on leafy green stems, between pink diaper bands reserved with small panels of additional flowers, the decoration similarly repeated on the covers, two with ovoid finials, one with a finial in the form of a seated lion, damaged and repaired
