A MATCHED PAIR OF LARGE FAMILLE ROSE TAPERING OVOID JARS AND DOMED COVERS
YONGZHENG (1723-35)
Each enamelled with four wickerwork baskets heavily laden with large blossoms of peony, chryasnthemum, prunus, and lily separated by slender bamboo branches, the baskets with trailing rope handles and divided by scattered petals, between eight broad ruby-ground lappets joined by or containing morning glory around the base and shoulders, the neck further enriched by flowerheads, the ruby and morning glory repeated on the domed covers, below biscuit lion finials, the rims bordered in additional floral panels reserved on a pale blue diaperwork ground, one neck rim repaired, both covers with some damage and repair
