Circa 1660
With slender tapering blade of flattened diamond section with a deep fuller on each face of the forte stamped respectively 'SEBASTIANO HEINANDZ (sic)', and 'EN TOLEDO', the steel hilt comprising a small cup guard formed of two asymetrical upturned shells, coarsely pierced and chiselled with scrolling foliage inhabited by winged demi-figures and framing cartouches with relief profile heads, arms and short vertically recurved quillons with disc terminals chiselled with profile heads, flattened ovoidal pommel chiselled with full-face female heads, and wooden grip spirally bound with three different types of iron wire
