The lockplate signed 'Tower' and dated '1871', with an impressed crown, Snider patent breech conversion, brass triggerguard and butt-plate, the butt-plate engraved 'Forest of Mar IV 193941', the full-stock with three-bands, sling-swivels, brass cap and cleaning-rod, the barrel with leaf rear-sight and pyramidal fore-sight
