A BRUSSELS MYTHOLOGICAL TAPESTRY FRAGMENT
Late 17th Century
Woven in silver-metal thread, wools and silks, depicting a nymph passing a belt to Ceres, in a mountainous landscape with a fortress beyond, within a later beige and grey outer slip, with restored vertical cut to centre of field
8 ft. 4 in. x 4 ft. 1 in. (255 cm. x 125 cm.)
