An iron-red decorated and silvered Tibetan style ewer, Penba Hu, Qianlong four character sealmark and of the period
the globular body raised on a high splayed foot and surmounted by an elaborately formed knopped neck below a broad mouth, the s-shaped spout issuing from a moulded open-mouthed dragon, decorated around the body in iron-red on a silvered ground with the eight buddhistic emblems, bajixiang, interspersed with lotus scrolls, all within raised beaded borders -- 7 5/8in. (19.3cm.) high.
